Hi! I have a problem with installing this game. I have installed it before and it worked perfectly. Then i have uninstalled it and i won`t to nstall it again, but during install program says that Char.bif or semthing like this in file C:\Program Files\Icewind Dale II\Data doesn`t "match" to a file on CD.

I haven`t had this problem before!

Any thoughts?

That's odd. I can't imagine why it would give you THAT error message during installation unless you had remnant files on your hard drive.

Did you go thru the "uninstall wizard"?

I would suggest that you contact Tech Support. Since the game installed fine and worked okay before, something in the uninstall process probably got screwed up.

IIRC yes. I did go through uninstall wizard.

Hmm,weird.

The only problem about TechSupport is that i do not ahve original IWDII. My friend borrwed CDs to me and i copyed them.
Still this should`t be the problem, becuase one of my other friends has a copy and it works fine.

Sorry, but if your problem is that you can't get a "bootleg" copy to reinstall then I won't help anymore. That's one of the risks you take when you don't pay for the game.

the same thing happened to my copy of BG2 and it really annoyed me seems as it's the best game ever created. In my case it was because the disks where damaged.

Dirt Monkey,

I'm not sure how this works over in England, but US purchasers can get replacement disks for Bioware / Interplay games simply by contacting customer support. Check out your manual for the details of how it works for you.
