Robert, where've you been? You're one of the few guys on the board who's finished the game more times than I have. Haven't seen you in quite a while.
Let us know what happens if she uses the rod. |

Just curious about what happened if you did, my other half wants to try, but she is a chicken.

Why not try it and let us know what happens? I'm curious.

I don't think it lets you use it, it'll say something like "the item is drained..." and if you try to take it out back into the sewers under the Temple District, you will die immediately.

I'd already past that point when she asked me, but I've got another game started, but this time I'm going for the evil, follow Bohdi, because I never have, and I'll try it. It auto saves on the way out, so I'll try it. Can't lose anything. Look for other posts in the immediate future.

I tried it, since I told Cleric that I would see what happens with a Multi-class cleric for a strong hold. All of it was right there, so...I won't try it again, cursed items are cursed for a reason...'nuff said.

If you save the game right after you pick up the rift device and load that game later, the big beholder doesn't appear (and you can't complete the quest). When this happened I used the rift device on myself. It hurts. Would be nice to have against Jon Irenicus, I'm sure.

Cool tip, I may have to try that the next time around. That will be on my 12th game. I am still trying all cool combos now, and then I'm going to go evil...That would be the best time to keep the rift device, if it works for me. thanks
