I have used my weapon prof's stars in katana, and dual wielging. I'm beginning to think that was a mistake. If there aren't any super katanas, how would one procure one??

There are some good katanas in the game. You'll find one particularly potent one attached to a person in the Temple District (Guarded Compound).

You can also buy a good one from one of the bonuse merchants. Lastly, you'll find another good one later in the game (Asylum). Hang in there...

Blade of Roses is a long sword, not a katana...

On a related topic, what is the best scimitar of the game?

belm +2, w/ an extra attack.

there's also the waters edge scimitar (+3)

personal fave - joluv (bonus merchant) sells a wikashi (sp) +3, also it drains wisdom (from the target not you), the game 1/2 half treats this weapon like a scimitar, uses that proff. but druids can't use it.

After you kill Bodhi in ch6, you will lose the drizzt scimitars so kill him and do ALL sidequests until your ready to give them up.
