I need help . I'm stuck on the final battle against mellisan with my solo cavalier, I've tried a bunch of times. I don't have any mods installed, and don't remember what the difficulty is set to.
My cavalier is level 34.
STR 19
DEX 18
CON 19
INT 11
WIS 13
CHA 18
He's got flail of ages +5, Carsomyr +6 for weapons. for armor, he has Vhailor's helm, White dragon scale armor, Gauntlets of extroarddinary specilization, Ring of regen, ring of fire resistance, Amulet of seldarine, Girdle of fire giant STR, Boots of speed, and cloak of reflection.
I'll just keep trying for a while.

Where are your slots? What's he more proficient in?
Are those *all* of your items? You don't even have any potions or scrolls tucked away?
But you can get down on your knees and thank Mystra for the Vhailor's Helm. That might end up saving you.

Sorry, wasn't sure what i should've posted.
I think i have something like 35, what i think are extra, healing potions. I've got the horn of blasting, too.
2 proficiencies in two-handed sword, two-handed weapon, single weapon, and i'm pretty sure flail, 2 in long sword, War hammer, and in sword and shield. 1 in mace
I've got the silver sword. I've got a bunch of items in my Bag of holding,
I supposed I should post my HLA's too.
1 Whirlwind
7 Greater Whirlwind
2 Summon deva
1 critical strike
1 deathblow
3 greater deathblow
1 power attack
1 smite
And yeah, Vhailor's helm has saved me many times

Hmm... it would be a very good idea to have *lots* of Hardiness . It is one of the most(if not the most) important HLA in the Final Battle.

Kind of late now...

Alright. Equip Carsomyr. I would think that initially you want to use your Helm to take care of the first wave... Equip your Horn and any other charge-related items that you want to be able to use twice in this battle.
I would say you should immediately summon your simulacrum, then once you're ready, both of you hit Improved Whirlwind. If you're lucky, you can cut.. "Queen Demented" to pieces before she can do any real harm. Ignore any and all of her summoned creatures. Now, have your simulacrum summon both devas before his time runs out, and send the three of them to take out the elemental guardians.
Depending on how long the summons stay, you can keep going like that. I don't know what else to tell you beyond two paladins with Carsomyr hacking at an enemy with Greater Whirlwind is your best bet. I've never played a solo paladin, so someone else might be able to give you even better advice. For now, that's all I have. Good luck!

Is Hardiness stackable?
