I guess the game was OK compared to many others, but I'd had such high hopes for it, and it turned in to a monotonous trap-hunt come slug-fest. I'd decided not to post anything, but then I happened to look at the 'Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn' forum. About 10 lines down is a 'Favorite Dialogue' thread - read it and weep.

Yea,it pretty much sucked IMHO. It was really, really too much Hack`n`Slash kind of a game. Like Diablo.
Well SoU and HoTU makes it better and of course our IW team.

Yes, it can be a bit boring at times. But NWN focus is on the multiplayer part and not the single player game. The single player Official Campaign don't even come close to that of BG2 but, on the other hand, BG2 multiplayer game is a joke compared to what you can do in NWN.

Both games are good, you'll just have to play them to their strenghts.

Eh? NWN's is hack n slash if you make it hack n slash. If you want RPing you play and RP module or enter an RP server.
