I have AMD and I prefer AMD. Why? Becuase AMD is cheaper but it has the same speed (or even bigger) then Intel.

There was a similar poll on hexus.net a few days ago. Only about 4 out of 100 people voted Intel.

Hail the AMD.

AMD - All Mighty Devices
In short: it rules. Cheaper, faster, better, easier to OC, better OC results, less serious problems. First I had a Duron 800, and altho a bit on teh warm side, I OCed it to 1100 without trouble, and now I have a 2500+ Barton, and with a Zalman AlCu cooler it's temperature is 35-37 C, meaning potential 3200+ OC with about 55 degrees max. In the summer. If I put it near my radiator. And shutdown teh case fans.

Nice Bozos
I just got a Barton 3000+ so I hope to be able to do a bit of overclocking myself

Hmm, I had no idea that AMD was liked so much more by people....

I have a few of each. My fasted is my Intel Pent 4
Processor 570 with HT technology 3.6GHz with a 265MB ATI Radeon 9800XT it blows all of the AMDs I have away but, I don't have one of the newest AMD mother boards with the Top of the line AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 Processor.
But My son Has one and I can't really tell the difference they both scream and do what We want. Most my computers have ATI Graphics cards and so do my sons but his has the Duel XT600 ATI PCI express and the graphics have a slight more sparkle to them but other than that I don't see any difference.
AMD has more votes for one reason: The're cheeper or should I say less expensive than the Intel P4 and more people can afford them and the AMD are easy to over clock.
One last thing in the AMD Favor is once the 64MB function of Gaming comes into being then I think the AMD 64 processor will blow the gamming world away.
But for now I like the P4 and as soon as the new P-4 5.1Ghz Duel processor hits the open market I'm Getting it and I just hope the damn things don't cost me $1,000.00 each.

Oh I sure hope I have the money to spend it on.

I prefer Intel right now because I have one, and it does not heat as bad as an AMD processor.

Other than that, am all AMD. That was my first processor.
