You can of course go back (same way you came)
IIRC you can't go back to Ust Natha tough (after the whole egg-scandal)

After losing your Drow disguise, you can still do the entire "Intrigue with Jarlaxle" quest--as long as you've got the Rope, you can pick the quest right back up again, no matter where you left off. All other dialogues will not work, though. (Meaning, if you turned the city Hostile in the middle of "Retrieve Quile's Brain," Quile and Company would still be there, but the Aboleth would not talk to you when you got back to it.)

Im asking because i want to prepar and level up a bit before taking on the darn mind flayers (they are my racial enemy by the way

hehehe I just got out of the Mind Flayer part, That was soooooo Darn hard / being all below 15 lvl.

So you are saying that you can get back inside Ust'Natha with out getting locked in, or is this only if you do not side with soulafien??

well i just realized what is very effective against those flayers...death spell

i had 3 clerics when i went through there (only a couple of days ago i did it) and all i did washaste them, use chaotic commands and fireproof the entire group then i'd run in and beat the snot out of them wilst blowing them up with fireballs [img]smile.gif[/img] ..worked pretty well.
