I had to install RealPlayer against my will on my home PC to view vids that my professor has on the school website so I can pass the class, since questions regarding what we watched count for a grade. However, from here or somewhere else I have heard that RealPlayer is the worst of the three players to have (between QT and WMV) because it is packaged with junk. Is there anything I need to know or is there anything I should do during this time I have to have the player on my PC? I can delete it after the 18th anyway.

I've heard similar remarks made about Real player but to be honest I've never had any problems with it.

Zoom player is the real criminal out there!

Other things should be able to play RealPlayer files. Have you considered one of those?

Google up Real Alternative, capable of playing Real Media files but without all of the RealPlayer junk.

I had heard of QT alternative...I was unaware that they did one for RP. Thanks! However, I did have a problem with QTalt not playing the most recent movie trailers because they had upped the version, and it seemed that QTalt had not caught up, so that is why I just downloaded QT. Maybe I will give that alternative to Real Player a try just to get through this month's class. If it works, great and if it does not...then oh well.
