It depends what you use it for.
Daggers are better because: You can't backstab with a mace. You can't throw a mace. Dagger attacks are quicker. Maces are better because: Mace does more damage per successful hit. Mace damages Clay Golems. Mace does more damage to skeletal dead. Dagger cannot be used by Clerics. Mace... Golem damage.
These two items are not ideally comparable, as they are more than likely to be used by different characters. If a character could use a dagger or a Mace, a mace would be used, because of the +s... such as Golem hitting, extra damage against undead, etc. How about this.
