I was just creating a Generic Archer, but I think somethings wrong.
When I get to distribute proficiencies .. I can only put them into bastard swords, axes and two-handed swords. All the other weapons and two-weapon style are all off-limits. Furthermore I can master ( put up to 5 stars ) in the weapons I can select .... thats not what a Generic Archer is supposed to have right ?

Generic Archer is a fighter kit, isn't it? So it is understandable why you can master those skills.
But why your choice is so limited, I can't fathom. Perhaps the 2DA file that controls proficiencies got messed up.

Reinstalled and its ok now, though when I created a normal archer ( non-MODed ) he could master short bows as well, which is again not what's suppused to happen IIRC

unless there is a mod that fixes this, Ranger Archers can only have 2 slots in bows or crossbows.

Normal Rangers can only specialise in Bows.
Ranger Archers can Grandmaster in Bows. Bows being long, short and cross. |

That's why I'm confused, I think that he meant Rangers who are archers, but not the kit.
