Mad

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Activision still updates their support for this game. Anyway, I was about to email them regarding the Microsoft Video 1 codec (I thought I'd give it a go) when I found this latest piece of support.

Question: I'm having trouble with my CD Key or I didn't get a CD Key

Answer: The game does not use a CD Key.

LOL! This is right up there with the "Flight squawks" email list... such as:

P: Right engine missing
G: Right engine found under wing after brief search

Here is an example from my consulting practice

"The printer does not work! Please come and do something with it!"
Well, I came. I saw an computer turned off and a printer turned on.
"What's wrong?"
"Look!"
The user turned on the computer, turned off the printer and demonstrated how the printer did not work. Then he turned on the printer and turned off the computer.
"It does not work!"
"Wait a moment!...", hiding laugh became unpossible so that I had to consolidate myself. "We can fix it immediately!". I turned off the printer.
"Try now."

Therefore, don't be surprised when somebody has trouble with CD key to W&W

LOL Radek! That one is amazing...

I was thinking later on last night that this might be a legit complaint...

I mean, you need to have CD2 in the correct drive in order to play. What if the person were trying to play without it and did a bad translation of the error message? Or (*sinister music*) what if their CD2 were not a "factory-fresh" CD2, and was missing a little something? That might have brough them into the same spot...

LMAO Radek!

Hmm Bungleau, you may have a point. But wouldn't one expect this to happen upon installation?

I would think it would have happened on installation... and perhaps that's where they were.

If they came here, they'd be playing in short order.
