Try playing with only one charater - no mules no friends.

I started a new game with only an elf wizard. (a LOT of RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!) but in order to get the ability to open traps and doors I had to get my wiz to Ishad'Nah.

Ive worked out that you can get to Ishad N'ah and stay at the lowest possible level buy ignoring everthing but for the following:

1. you must bash into the chest that holds the bauble stick, (poison fang trap),if you get poisoned get back to town for some rites.

2. you ONLY have to kill Folokis Ra, the Wizard Spirit and a banshee that is along the wizard path (again a lot of RUN AWAY!! RUN AWAY!!)

having accomplished the above, got the signet etc I arrived at Ishad N'ha with level 4 (just leveled up) and level 5 active ready to level up. Got my wizrd to undertake ninja advancement - joined the Guild of the Shadow and Way of the Dragon, cancelled advancement (ask for thief guild quest - go to snake temple kill off some snake priest for their serpin coins) and now have a level 5 wizard with ability 'Traps and Locks' and 'Pick Pockets' and now is time to head back to Valeia to start the game.

If you try and stay "alive" through all this you will have given your adreanal gland a really good work out.

Wow! That must have been exciting. I've heard of other players going solo but none have supplied such an interesting description of their early adventures in the game!

"Run Away!! Run Away!!" lol!!

Keep us posted on how your solo character is doing!!

I like it!!! That sounds like the fun way to take a solo adventure. When I get back into it, I think I will try that out.

And ditto what Wyv said -- do keep us posted. I'm curious to hear how all this winds up!

As well, I suggest that your approach be called the Dipsy Way. If you've ever watched the Teletubbies (okay, I was only doing it to be with my kids, honest!), Dipsy (the green teletubby) is fond of saying "Run Away! Run Away!" whenever something strange is going on.

I tend to read "Run Away" in Monty Pythonish too!

My sound bite for incoming email is from the Holy Grail - in Robin Hood's camp - arrow whizzing in, THUMP "Message for you, Sir!"

Wyv

(BJ is a tad old for me to have watched the Teletubbies but do you think that the people who created them might be Monty Python fans?)

Teletubbies are just plain creepy. And not in a fun Addams Family kinda way either.

Rugrats rule. Love live Phil & Lil.

Granpa: "My stomach hurts. I think maybe I got a bad bug."
Lil: "There are bad bugs?"

But my daughter seems to like them both.

I see!!! He's NOT the messiah??????

Solo wizard just finished beating Naga to death with a combination of magic, several witch's sticks(note to self - need more forge skill)and a real lot of !!!!!!!!R U N A W A Y!!!!!!!! . Around and around the Naga's room we go and where we stop no-one will Know.

note to everybody - playing with spawn = frequent, difficulty = hard, the Naga is worth 85548 EXP. Didn't that make for some level up. Went from lvl 9 through lvl 10 and almost to lvl 11 with one kill.

Down the corridor second door on the left!

We like the Rugrats but our current rave is Courage the Cowardly Dog.
