Last week was quite a week!! My head is so full, that if I tilt it, everything will drop out of my ears!! I have been learning about logbooks, winter safety, trip planning, truck parts and how to fix things, company policies on various things and the onboard puter. On top of that, lots of city driving!!

Most everyone in the class got a trainer to go over the road - and they will be gone for a couple of weeks. Not me - living in Minnesota they put me with a local trainer! Will be doing lots of city driving right in the Twin Cities! Oh thrills - the docks, the tight turns, and the traffic are such a joy in an 18-wheeler!

So I will return next weekend to Rochester. I should be getting my own truck next week if all goes well, and if they have a truck to put me in. If not, I go South for a little while for a nice little drive! So far, folks have been waiting about a week for a truck, and if that is the case for me - I will take a busman's holiday.

Hope you all are having fun this summer... I have been spending a lot of time outside and inadvertently got tan. Ah well, such is life!

Hey Moridin!! We can do the sushi thing Tuesday if you are willing!! Whoo Hoo!!

And Bilqis, I hope you are doing better - wish I could help. Call me if you are so inclined.

Apparently, since the local routes are starting obscenely early and go till 5 or 7pm, I will be in a motel for the week in the cities. But will return for the weekend.

I hope everyone is doing well and healthy and happy!!
Wave at the orange Schneider trucks! Will have a pic when they assign me one!

Thanks, Charean, for keeping us udpated on how you are faring !

So I guess that means that next week you will be responsible for one out of two traffic jams in the Twin Cities Metro area ... But, look, even being stuck at a dock cannot be harder than having to remember 23 Chinese names as I got to do in my new job teaching German ...

Inadvertently got a tan ? Most women I know are always complaining that they cannot get a good tan quickly enough - women !

Take care and enjoy living your dream !

Awwwww - poor Azzie!! As soon as they build a floating truck, I will be there! (giggling hysterically)

Howdy Moiraine!! Things settling down for you yet?? How are you doing?

Ciao Ramon!! Good to see you! If I am really lucky, I won't be causing those traffic jams, but one never knows! And knowing those Chinese names? Better you than me, friend. Give me a dock from hell anyday over trying to remember names!

Hiya Charean

You better not cause any traffic jams...at least not on 35W anywhere else is acceptable

And yes I am on for Sushi tomorrow...give me a call
