Is there a safe place to store things that you don't really want to sell, where you will be able to get to easily if you need to?

I was wondering about that myself yesterday. What I planned on doing was dropping a few items in Trynton, items that weren't really important but for the sake of the test, play for a while and check on them from time to time to see if the items are "staying there".

I've been storing stuff in a chest in one of the rooms of the Inn in Arnika and I haven't had any problems (other than one noted below). I believe that you can safely leave things in any of the chests. I'm not sure if items that you just leave on the floor are safe. I'm trying that now to see what happens.

A word of caution: make sure that when you put an item in the chest, you actually get it in the chest. In trying to put the porthole in the chest, I actually dropped it on the floor too close to the chest. It now appears to occupy the same space as the chest, without being in it. I can see the edge of the porthole through the chest (as it spins around), but I can't get it.

I would have said the bank too, Wyv. Thought that would be a safe place, one of the vaults maybe.

Sleepwalker,

I haven't run into any party items limitations but I don't see the point of sorting through stuff for which I really don't have any immediate need. SO it would be nice to be able to ditch the items in a safe place just in case I need the items later.
