Hey hey all.

I'm currently looking at buying a laptop for several reasons

a) something to do on nightshift
b) so I can play more modern games
c) so I can watch Dvd's anywhere
d) so I can play games via network with my good friend.

I don't want to spend over AUS $2500 (able to go higher, but of course the less the better for me, heh), but the problem is, I'm totally retarded when it comes to computer specs.

I know I'd like about 60 gig, fantabulous graphics card, and around an 15" wide screen, a dvd writeable/playable and cd burner, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. (Heck, I'm not even sure if I know what I'm talking about there..)

Can anyone help, or even go to the extent whilst bored to point out any good deals they come across on the net? There is currently a good deal on the Dell site for a computer that a mate of mine says would be pretty much ideal for what I want. The link is here, but unfortunately I definately do NOT want a 17" wide screen monitor, as I've been told that is monstrously big.

Any help would be appreciated, guys and girls. So please, pipe up if you're clever. N.B. That last sentance was used to entice everyone to post, as EVERYONE on this particular board is clever.

Thanks in advance.

-Dave

Pity is, the deals finish today, lol. Which is REALLY unfortunate because I don't know if my finances will be in check until tomorrow.

Bugger.

I've just been emailed by a friend (whom I may or may NOT trust) who recommended this particular laptop.

Is it any good?

No problem. I found that page looking at random links one day and I thought it might come in useful one day. Keep us all up to date how the service from that company is.
