I am assuming you are talking about when she gets cursed by this guy in the tavern near the docks. To find him go to the map where the copper coronet is (damn its so long ago i have forgotten the area name). In the north-east (next to the slaver building) is a small house. Just kill the guy and his helpers and get the lock of her hair. Rest 3 times to cure Jaheira from the curse. You can get rid of the helpers by first going to the government district and talk to one of the officials.

BTW, for some reason the resting only seems to work when you rest outside. Weird.

Hmmm that's weird...nobody mentioned that before...
In my game, she was cured just fine after resting in an Inn!

I believe after Jaheria is cursed, if you talk to her she will give you clues as to where to start looking for the fellow that cursed her.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen,
for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in
beer.

Good, cos otherwise I might have been offended.

And resting at an inn (or the house I mentioned earlier) always had the desired result for me too.

She is supposed to die. It is part of the plot. She must die, or you may encounter problems.
