Smiley What did YOU get For the Holiday?

What kind of loot did you get?

I got an De Walt Orbital Sander, a pair of Stanley Saw horses, $50 Lowe's card (gonna get a miter saw/table--have 3 other half used Lowe's gift cards still) Will help with the form work I am making for a new sidewalk I'm gonna pour soon. Also got Unreal Tourney 3--which was a bad disc. (1 in 50 are bad these days, I got 'lucky')
Also a Toolbox--and some World of Warcraft game cards (of which, 4 packs, I actually found a loot card, which was the Rocket Chicken item--kinda slick)

Donna wanted a new side cabinet for the dining room--which we found at a damn good price at a consignment shop--that's the only place these days to find REAL solid wood furniture) and it was in mint cond...

And some lotto scratch offs. Of the 5 I got, 2 won 'free ticket' and 1 was $2.
With my tools, I'm going to build myself a nice work bench. I designed one in Autocad, and it will hold up to 2-3000lbs Anyone know of any good work bench plans sites? I'm sure I could Google it.. just want to see if there is something cooler..

Not too much per my request. I've got too much stuff already and I have to divest myself of some of it. Did get a couple of wire puzzels though.

I got sick. Thanks, cousin, I owe you....

I also got stuff that I liked, such as premade chai, which is not as good as the stuff I can make from scratch but has the very definite benefit of not needing 30 minutes to make a cup.

Homemade salsa from my aunt. Everyone else in the family claims that it's hot, but I don't find that to be the case. It's nice, but it won't strip paint off the walls or skin off the bones.

Socks and fleecy sweatpants. These are perhaps my favorite gifts, since I was in desperate need of both, and I'm making full use of them.

This is a touchy subject, especially for folks who are:
1. Not married
2. Newly weds
3. Have not been together for at least 25 years.

I got an antiqued wall mount cabinet with authentic antique smell, and nails.
My spousal unit got a new 19.2 volt Craftsmen Drill / Right angle drill, two battery one charger combo pack.

Nothing really interesting here. Except for the two choic picks: A brand new surfboard, and the Orange Box.

The cake is a lie.

I got some nice things for the kitchen - a new garlic press, electronic kitchen scales, a really nice anodized non-stick saucepan, and a casserole pot. Also some calendars and chocolates. Plus my dad got some books which he'll be lending to me so that is a bonus

I got a new guitar Fender Starcaster Electro-Acoustic, she's gorgeous! Also got the usual bits and bobs, socks, dvds, a few books (student cookbook and how to start your own secret society!) At that age now where things are less fun and more useful I think.

Got a beautiful espresso machine ... it's like giving lifetime supply of whiskey to an alcoholic. "Terminal addict" comes to mind.

Was bad enough when I had to walk the block to the coffee house
