In D&D certain spells cause a loss in Con or cause aging in characters. Does this happen in BG2? Raise Dead costs 1 Con and Haste ages by 1 year. If these little details have been left out then YAY!

These little details have indeed been left out of BG2. Since people tend to die more in CRPGs it would have been ludicrous to do it any other way. And the number of times ive cast Haste id have a party of milleniarians by now. Im not kiddding. Much.

Also certain monsters such as ghosts do not have "aging" attacks like they do in PnP AD&D. Level drain, though, is kept in (and they raise that to an ART FORM in SoA!!

Cool!

I've been pretty paranoid about using Haste on my Humans.

Nah, use it with impunity!

If you're playing Core Rules, CON still determines whether or not you survive a "Stone to Flesh" or "Resurrection", but you don't lose any CON if so.

Cheers,
