iwd1 -- much easier to understand the rule set and better expansion.

IW2 i really like the start with the siege of targos and it just seemed more fun to me, although i thought IW1 was really good too.

Bah. 3rd edition ruleset. A perfect example of "you win some, you lose some"
You gain multi-classing variety, but lose the ubergods of spellcasting, the mage/clerics, to low DC hell
