HELP!!!!!! Need help on Programming ASAP

I need help on my programming assignment. We must program with Turbo Pascal 5.0 and I have to design a program that reads in 1 character that has to be searched, then I have to read a list of small letter letters, the list will be ended by the capital A , there has to be at least one entry in the list. After this is done I have to search the character in the list and have to show the user where it first stands in the list of small letters, how many times the character is in the list of small letters, which of the small letters is the biggest in the list and where it first appears, which of the small letters is the smallest in the list and where it first appears. I have to check if every input is right defined by the user (so if the small letters ARE small letters ect. )

I would be extremely thankfull if any of you guys could help me out!

My Pascal is over a decade old but have some pseudo-code:

this will sort out the input letter queries:

inp_char = 1st parameter
search_String = 2nd parameter (string of letters)

wl_inp_pos = 0
wl_inp_count = 0

for a% = 1 to length(search_string)
if seg$(search_string,a%,1) = inp_char then
if wl_inp_count = 0% then
wl_inp_pos = position(this_char) !!position of first char found
end if
wl_inp_count = wl_inp_count + 1 !!counter for no. of times found
end if
next a%
