Afternoon, all. Galadria caught the damned dog, after yelling at me. At least it's Friday and I have the afternoon off.

Yeah, that's what Galadria says. She also says we have to go to Wal-Mart this afternoon. The horror.

Att, I don't thin most IWers can understand or appreciate the Walmart shopping experience, especially if you live in a small town. I share your pain but maybe you should share your sad story with others here. Most people don't realize that most dungeon based games are based on real visits to Walmart.

This weekend I found a local newspaper from July 1885 (I think that's the date, can't remember), and the whole front page is about General Grant, who died that morning. My best friend works at a museum and put me in touch with someone who frames artifacts for them. So, I'm gonna get it framed and then stash it away until X-mas. I'm all excited. Not about the civil war, just that I found a cool gift for him. And it was only $6 because it wasn't in great shape and hadn't been stored how it should have (it was folded), but you can still read the whole article, so who cares is my opinion.
Cool! Some years ago, I found a newspaper from exactly 100 years before my wife was born. It was a weekly, and her birthday happened to fall on a Saturday, the day they published.

She thought it was neat, but wasn't quite sure what to do with it. And neither am I, but at least I scored a point

LOL, well, instead of Kobolds, you have Fat Young Mothers; instead of Orcs you have People So Fat They Have To Drive One Of Those Little Scooters; instead of Giant Spiders, you have Teenaged Girls Wearing Pracically No Clothing and, accompanying them, Teenaged Boys Wearing, Thankfully, Too Much Clothing, But Not Enough To Hide Their Hideous Tattoos. Oh, also, you should take Imoen along to detect the People In Line Who Have Something Not Marked In Their Baskets. If not detected and disarmed, this sets off the dreaded Price Check, making your trip 20% longer. Then, if you make it past the Inappropriate Nazi Shopping Cart Checker hidden in ambush at the door, you may make it out with some money saved.
