The Australians have just scored 641/4 declared in the first innings of the fifth test.

It would have been more but Justin Langer very kindly got himself knocked unconscious after scoring a mere 102....

My god we're crap.

Can anyone say 'Another innings defeat?'

At least the football seasons here at last, I can look forward to us getting stuffed by Germany in the next couple of months...

Hooray

Three centurions as well - Langer 102, Mark Waugh 120 and Steve Waugh 157 n.o. (when he was stretchered off with a serious calf muscle tear 20 days ago). What does it say about the bloke's will to win that he's back and scores a century. Makes you really wish that talented England players like Thorpe and Tudor could avoid all these niggling injuries - maybe they should borrow some physios from the Aussies?

Anyone seen Donut btw?

I have a nagging doubt Thorpe doesn't want to play because of what rthis series will do for his average. Tudor refuses to listen to the England team physio's advice on how to cure his long term back niggle and Vaughan, good batsman that he is, is also unfit.

Its not as if England are rubbish-four series wins on the trot, but we're not very good at batting. Something Gillespie, McGrath, Warne and Lee have exploited well.

Our recent exploits have been built round our bowling attack and what happens when the Ashes start? White and Cork lose form while our batsmen still cant score runs..

I have to say you deserve the Ashes and you're the best test team I've ever seen play in all my 27 years.... the only consolation is a lot of the Australian team is the wrong side of 30.
