Kangaxx... how to be his Imprisonments??

Could someone please tell me how to avoid always getting hit by Kangaxx's Imprisonment spell. There is no saving throw against this spell and he seems to have an unlimited supply of them up his sleeve. So far, he is easily the toughest guy I've had to face in BG2 and that spell, although pretty cool, is really cheap with no chance to save against it.

Could someone please suggest a proven and effective strategy for dealing with Kangaxx and his underhanded Imprisonment tactics.

Prot from undead scroll, prot from magic scroll which can be bought from the Adv. mart or the scroll seller at the top of the stairs in Waukeen's promenade.

Cast either one of the spells on yourself and hack away. +4 weapons or better.
Lots and lots of traps worked for some folks too.

Have one of your mages cast Spell Immunity and choose the Abjuration school. Then make sure that mage is the closest one to Kangaxx. He will keep casting Imprisonment at the closest character and it will have no effect if that character is immune the the Abjuration school. I also think the first time I used a protection from magic scroll on a fighter and let them beat on Kangaxx and that worked too. Hope it gives you some help.

Just kill his first form like any other Lich, then use the slayer to kill the skull form. It's immune to Imprisonment

Have Minsc, Korgan, or your PC (if applicable) enrage themselves and charge with +4 or better weapon at the demi-lich. If you don't have +4 or better weapon, summon fire elementals and cast protection from magic on them.
I've heard that you can also kill the demi-lich by setting tons of traps, although I have never tried that yet.

My party just beat Kangaxx this past weekend. I used Protection from Magic scrolls (which I bought at Adventurer's Mart) on my fighter and my Paladin. I cast the scrolls just before Kangaxx changed into demi-lich form. Watched him cast Imprisonment after Imprisonment with no luck for him! My Paladin used the Holy Avenger(+5), my fighter used Dragon's Breath (+4) to take Kangaxx out.

BTW hacking imeons belt to your character helps
just make sure kangaxx cast imprisonment on you
he keeps on trying and failing

prevents imoen from dying before the dungeoun escape

What if you put it on your pc, can he/she remove it after?

Btw, now that I have a better look at it, the demi-lich is kinda cute.....
