Resolved the "crash when leaving Valeia"

I wanted to share how I resolved the problem with my system dropping to Windows desktop everytime I exited Valeia.
Basicallly, I refreshed my WIndows 98 install. Here's exactly what I did:
1. I placed the Windows 98 SE CD into my ROM drive.
2. I ran the "setup.exe" from the CD
3. I followed the onscreen prompts
In about fifteen minutes Windows completed the refresh load and the game now works fine. I've been playing for hours without a single lock-up or drop-out.
* I did NOT have to reload my drivers.
* I did NOT have to reload DirectX.
I hope this works for you. It's simple. It's fast. And the game is really fun.

Sounds like you may have had corrupted system files. Did you use the System Diagnostic utilities before you reinstalled?

I just reinstalled win98 and it worked !!!!

It did say 2 files were old, corrupt or something of the sort, but didn't write them down.
