Help - Create Portal Spell

My Ninja just learned the create portal and teleport spells. Everytime I tried to create a portal, nothing happened. I tried casting this spell in different places on the map and in Shurugeon Ruins but I couldn't get it to work. How do I go about creating a portal?

There shouldn't be anything really special about it, Alaric. Cast the spell, then wait for the glimmer to fade and the message at the bottom that says "Portal Created". Then, to verify it works, move away a few steps and cast teleport. It should work for you.

G'day Alaric, Are you casting the spell by pressing the ctrl button & casting it on a charactor?

Increasing your characters 'Will' stats, will help make them better at castimg 'Moon' and 'Fiend' spells......Increasing 'Sorcery' adds to a magic users ability to cast all spells.

As you increase these stats....your Whiska should get better at casting 'Create' and 'Teleport'.

I found it best to cast it in a big area. It can work in dungeons but that can be tricky. Some places will not create portals. As already mentioned use control and cast it on the one casting. That is the best way. Believe me I learned the hard way!

Alaric I hope you solve your problems with Create Portal. I don't know what is wrong besides what packrat said. Your stats could be to low it never failed for me. Although I never casted it to much.

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize that you had to cast it on one of your characters. I kept trying to cast it on the screen. I finally got it to work. [img]smile.gif[/img]

.. Always , remember to check the text box, for 'Portal Created'. There are some places that 'Create Portal' will not work.

Was your character a wizard to be able to create portals? My Ninja was an Elf ranger, then Paladin then Ninja. Sounds like you have a good combination!

My Ninja was a Ratling that started out as a Rouge and became a Bard before becoming a Ninja. Bards and Ninja can learn the moon spells, which includes the create portal/telport spells.
