For those of you who still think that "fletchery" and dragon arrow is the way to go to get money in this game, you're wasting your time. All you need is a character who 1- as the merchant trait and 2- is a member of the Dojo.

Once you got those two taken care of, you're laughing. All you need to do is to have your character buy some Taketchu arrow at 313 gp for a pack of 3 and sell them back at about 2000 gp. Now, since the dojo has an infinite amount of arrows in stock, you just keep buying until you're out of cash, sell them back and repeat until you have all that you need.

Even if this is totally legit, it can greatly unbalance the game. But it's great to get your stats to 20, your skills to 12 and the possibility to enchant and bless items to lvl 12.

Both ways are legitimate ways to earn money, but my bet is still on the Dragon Arrow. Your method works great for small amounts of money and is good until you can really bless up your arrow.

My only difficulty is that I don't like to waste time buying and selling and buying and selling. I would much rather be outside adventuring and making money while I walk. 2000 gp is may seem like a lot, but it is still small compared to the 6 million gp I like to keep in stock. I take one dragon arrow and bless the heck out of it. I then go finish a dungeon. Before I know it, I have 50 arrows and I take most of them and put them in inventory and let him keep building. 150 Dragon Arrows, properly blessed is worth quite a lot. I havent kept up in a while because I got so much gold that I put my arrow and bow on my mule character back in the Inn. I tend to have anywhere from 4 - 7 million gold on me at any one time. (And I am a level 148 Zen Master after being a level 133 Assassin, so don't get any ideas about jumping me for my gold.)

Everyone has their own method for getting gold. If it works for you, go for it. I admit that I use that method until I can get the Fletchery and blessed up Dragon Arrow, but for the big gold I go for the arrow making technique.

Ryanamur,
I made tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands in gold with the Dojo arrows. It really helped me better my characters in training!

I also made millions doing this. I find it much more convenient as I can strike with 2 weapons (essential for a solo game) and inflict up to 220 damage points per combined (sword or Argus bless to max and Main Gauche +2 blessed to max)blows. Much better than wasting a slot for a bow.

Hmmmm...didn't know there were other ways of getting cash. I just used the inn trick, but I installed the patch so it doesn't work anymore. I'll have to remember that whenever I get back to playing WnW. Right now it's back to Deus Ex...

Glycerine -

Always pay attention to the difference in price buying and selling an item! Some will provide more profit but there are many items you can sell for more than it costs you to purchase them!
