I think you guys are all writing England's chances off...they will do well, considering they've got no midfield other than Becks and no recognized international quality striker other than Micky Owen. Still, Nigeria are in turmoil and Sweden may be missing Ljungberg for the first couple of games.

It's hard to go against Les Bleus...though I'll be rooting for Spain, this has to be their year!

Oh, and one other bit of trivia from my paper today :

LONDON : More than a third of England's male supporters will refrain from having sex on the night before England play.
In a poll answered by 3000 fans, 36 percent said they always abstain before a big match.

Looks like there are going to some awfully disappointed English femmes over the next 9 days .
Disappointed...or relieved?

Ljungberg Schmungberg..

He isnīt that good really guys, he have hardly hit the goal in a national game.. :S

Far worse is that Sweden now have a prettu booring system so we will try and bore the opponents to sleep before we score.. :S

Hopefully Henke Larsson is in top condition, and Zlatan!
Thoose guys are both good and fun to watch!

Besides, we can always cheer for England thanks to Svennis!

Sheesh Geenie Boy, I didn't think I was too hard on poor lil Lanthir. And I am well aware (unlike Downunda) that once again all good Australians will have to pick another team to support at the World Cup.

On the plus ledger, I certainly made good with Lanthir by supporting her in her male university thread .

I agree with Wolfie! GO ZLATAN!
And don't forget Patrik Andersson, he's pretty damn good. But still, I don't think we have a chance of beating Nigeria or Argentina for that matter.
I think the match between England-Sweden will end 1-1, and I think Nigeria will win that group undefeated with Argentina for second place.
Sweden won't go to semi-finals
But one of the african teams that have really impressed this year is Camerun. I think they have a good chance of winning the gold medal, with Portugal as number two and I haven't decided for the bronze, maybe Brazil?
There you have it! That's how it'll look this year ladies and gentlemen!

Sir Regin!
Hehe I think as you do! This will be a disapointing World Cup for us!!

But I think that england might beat Argentina and come second in the group. Argentina havenīt played well so far in the warm ups..

Well, they're still one of the best teams in the world. And I mean, neither England nor Sweden will stand a chance.

It's not possible for these two teams to meet in the final. They are in the same half of the draw and would have to meet in the semi.
