I just recently got this game so don't tease me about just starting out, less you really wanna. Well anywho, in Irenicus's dungeon these dryads gave me their acorns to give to some other person is some umar hills or something. I look in my journal and happily see that quest there and remember i need to do that. I then go to chapter two after talking to galean bayle and look at my journal again and the acorn quest is gone! I still have the acorns though. Am I supposed to somehow do that quest before going into chapter 2 or even though it doesn't have it in my journal anymore the quest is still needing to be done?

The quest is still there, you just turn the page back to chapter one. It will stay there until you complete it, then it will go on the 'done quests' page.
