Ok, maybe this belongs on the TOB board, anyways...
I've played through BG2 twice without TOB installed. The game is a blast with several encounters that were quite difficult...icluding the final fight in Hell. However, I just fought Irenicus for the 3rd time, this time with TOB installed...I must say, it was a joke. My main char is a level 23 half-orc cleric, with a party consisting of Keldorn, Minsc, Aerie, Imoen, and Edwin. With the summon Deva/Planetar ability, the denizens of hell didn't even scratch my party. In a way, it was disappointing. I haven't even picked up any of the neat 'toys' from Watcher's Keep yet. Anyone else experience this? -Bean |

I have not had to fight him with TOB yet I am just finishing it off first after all ready killing him. But I am going back to the start of the game after I finish it. I am playing a Solo charcter as well so I should be maxed out when I get there I am sure he will be a push over.

It just seems that by the time my char reached Jon in Hell I was far over-qualified for stomping him into oblivion. I summoned a Deva and a Fallen Planetar and that was the end of that. I even re-loaded and fought him without using any summoned help...still, far too easy.
I've heard that the encounters in TOB require an extremely powerful group...hopefully this is true. -Bean |
