Stuck in Serpent Temple

hello all,

I took the elevator down from the kitchen. After going through two more
doorways, I came to another elevator that goes up and down, passing two
rooms. The middle room has a treasure chest. There are also a lot of ale
barrels and bags of grain. I can't find a way back up to the kitchen.

I did manage to stack some barrels and crates and jump up into another large
room (three large square rooms connected by passageways. two rooms contain
2 treasure chests each, guarded by belfry spiders). I can't find a way out
of here either.

Please help. I have been looking for a way back out all day.

you need to go back to the elevator and ride it back up and then back, rememeber you have to go up both elevators. just don't turn yourself around. did you get the monkey idle out of the room above the kitchen it's in the corner in the back of the room.

But I can't go back up the elevator to the kitchen. It is already up and it won't come down. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Hello again,

Allow me to answer my own question. I reloaded a previous save and traced my steps back to where I was stuck. This time, the elevator worked. I'm assuming that I must have stumbled onto a bug. I'm really wanting to like this game, but it sure is disappointing to run into something like this so early in the game. Is it a sign of things to come?
