For the last 3 times I went through the Snake Temple, I've been unable to retrieve the Snake Idol. There's a mystical force that prevents my party to advance after killing the slime in the water (at the part where you get out of the water).

I tried the following but still no luck:

1- Reload
2- Get the slime to follow me down the passage way and killed it
3- Went back out of water and tried again

As anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

Thanks

Getting stuck while trying to swim to the Snake Idol is a well-known problem for some players. You might try selecting your shortest character and wriggling side-to-side with the mouse.

I've had one party that, regardless of character size or athletic ability, could not get through the tunnel. Without the idol I had to create a staircase of crates in the Library to reach the wizard's study.

This has happened to too many players. Follow Xignal's suggestions and see if that doesn't do the trick.

If not - send me a zipped or rared copy of your gamexx.sav and I'll see if I can't get you past this tight spot or at least get you the snake idol you need from the end!

I didn't work. But don't worry Wyv,I don't need you to hack my file. I still have the serpent books rimes in a notepad (previous game). Thanks anyway.

It's not a file hack, actually, Ryanamur...sometimes it's a system problem (often due to a RAM constraint). Wyvern just gets you past the "stuck" point, then saves and returns to you. At least, that's how I think it works!
