The best CRPG game for me is Wizardry 8. The best adventure game I played was Day of the Tentacle, it was just fun!

well in PC it is the original Diablo... that made me go .... in awe... I LOVED the soundtrack! it's the best. kept my heart going and it wasn't that spooky that wouldn't let me play it... I play diablo II as of the moment, and thinking of going back to diablo...

in console, it is Chrono Trigger. not even FF3 can blow its butt... this game has given me a sense of life and love, it has given me a message that you should not waste any time in saying something important to someone, or regret surely follows... it makes me look back at the past, and the people at the past... it just has this meaning...

BG2 gave me what I want... romance LOL

I can,t name a single fav, but here are my top contenders:
Boardgame - toss up between Squad Leader and Axis and Allies.
Vectrex - Minestorm (like asteroids but better)
Commodore64 - The early Ultima series, Zork and Gunship.
Nintendo - New and old Zelda
PS1 - Resident Evil, Twisted Metal 2(2 player co-op was a blast)
Final Fantasy VII ( I even bought the summon spell figurines
which are quite detailed and pretty cool lookin )
PS2 - Drakan the ancient gates is one of the best I,ve ever played,
Dynasty Warriors 2 (didn,t get great reviews but I find myself
going back and playing this one regularily?)
Metal Gear Solid 2
PC - #1 would have to be BG SOA, Blade of Darkness ( I loved that
game! superb graphics, huge levels, Quite bloody )

I think that,s most of them.

Without a doubt, Planescape : Torment. All those who answered BG2 should try it. It's fabulous, like an interactive novel. Really. Try it. It was made after the famous Baldur's Gate n°1, based on the same motor but with much nicer graphics. It simply has the most amazing storyline I've ever seen in a video game, with more dialogs than you can imagine. I was extremely suprised with the huge quantity of dialogs this game has, there is maybe as much reading in it as in the Lord of the Rings novel. But the universe is greater, you are free to decide what you want to do. This is simply by far the greatest rpg I've ever seen, your teammates have a true personnality, there is good humor & I repeat it tons of fascinating dialogs in a GREAT storyline. As an example on some Torment dedicated boards you find topics like "What do you think of the philosophical meaning of Dakkon's life?" or "Vhailor's opinion on Order : why I disagree" etc. This is THE rpg, and it's surely the first one I've seen where your character's fighting power isn't important at all. His Intelligence Wisdom & Charisma are the keys to victory. If anyone likes both fantasy novels and fantasy rpgs, then it is the best choice around. If you just want to kill monsters and level up, it's not a good choice.

RPG: Call of Cthulu and D&D 3rd E.

Boardgames: Die Siedler von Katan, WWII E.T.O and P.T.O

Computer: My alltime-favorites are the BG-Series (especially I), Jagged Alliance 2 and Europa Universalis (hopefully soon replaced by EU2, when I am back in Germany).

I like BGII the best so far, but I also enjoyed FFIX. We have FFX, but I haven't played it yet.

Some of the older games for the original Nintendo were thrilling though, because it was a new world for me. Games that wouldn't appeal to me now, seemed so fantastic the first time I played them. Like 'Simon's Quest', 'Faxanadu', 'Zelda', and there was this one I played hour after hour called 'Fire n Ice'.
