In my case, I spent the next 10 months or so sitting on a ring "doughnut" so that my spine would not have to be pressed directly onto the seat. It sure was embarassing, cos everyone assumed that I either had piles or had pain from giving birth!!
what are the chances of getting a fishinghook in your toe ? I can understand why he was laughing, i don't mind. And it did't really hurt either, i just don't want it ever to happen again, it was really stupid.
That is pretty hilarious. A fishing hook. lol!
lol tell me about it.

when I was 11 I caught a heavy object flying through the air and was also tackled by a pretty heavy person who was also trying to catch it and run in the same direciton, it wasn't so much a tackle as he just up and fell on top of me... together our weigs colided and i heard a loud cracking noise, i began to scream and said "I BROKE MY CLAVICLE!" I went to the school nurse and told him what i thought... he said "ah heck son it's just a bruise, nothing too bad..." and then he actually MADE me go back to class, but I didnt... I didn't attend school the rest of the day, I WALKED myself RIGHT off campus to the hospital down the street, and nobody could stop me, I called up my own freaking records and DEMANDED an X-ray at the emergency room, 2 hours later I went back to school and slammed the X-rays down on the Nurses desk and said to him "SEE!! I BROKE MY GOD DAMN CLAVICLE! NOW CAN I PLEASE BE ABSENT FROM SCHOOL AND TELL MY FREAKIN' PARENTS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL!!!"

how i even knew it was my clavicle was beyond me but thats what it felt like and though i didn't know the bones very well at the time i was pretty sure it was clavicle-related... Another time i over-extended my knee but i only had to walk with a caine.. the most recent and troublesom injury came when i was taking the S.A.T.... WHY you ask? I don't know! I just happened to twist my ankle.. i just treated it like nothing though and walked through all the pain... It was really funny though, because I stood up on the way to my car and everyone looked at me like "are you ok?"

"yeah i just twisted my ankle" *limp* *limp* *limp*

heh it was funny how they just sort of stared at me as i limped to my car though

My worst injury has to be the car wreck I was in 3 yrs ago. I got hit by a drink driver and shattered my ankle and forearm. The doctors had to use steel plates to repair the damage, 5 pounds of steel all together are in me counting the rods, plates and screws used to put me back together. I have permenant stiffness and difficulty walking because of how bad my injurys were. The person who hit me died. Now every year on the anniversary of the accident I go to the cemetary and reduce their headstone to gravel. As long as the family keeps buying new ones , I will keep destroying them. It doesnt help with the pain , but I sure do feel better afterwards.

Ah man, fishing hooks, I hate the buggers... what, with their sharp pointy hooked ends always flying around when you're trying to grab them until it hooks ya right in the finger...

- Anyway, I have a 2 inch burn mark on my left forearm from grabbing a very hot pan out of the oven and not paying attention, stupid me.

- On my right arm is a inch long scar from when I was in elementary school. We were playing Tag, and I guess they didn't hear me when I said time-out to tie my shoe, cause he tagged me from the back a little too hard when I wasn't paying attention and landed on a nice big pointy rock sticking out of the ground. Stitches? Na. Just put a band-aid and some black electrical tape on it.

- I have a nice white colored scar on my left arm. See, I had a bottle of dust remover (you know, CO2), and if you turn the bottle upside down and spray it, it sprays a liquid instead of air. Well, the liquid is very cold and I was curious what would happen if I sprayed myself for a while.

- I've broken my left arm twice. First time was from skating, second time I was out playing with friends after it had rained and slipped and stuck my arm out. I know how to fall correctly now, heh heh.

- I also have a few scars a couple inches long on my back, and I have no idea what from.

So, nothing too major, the worst being the first time I broke my arm, because, well, it was the first time I ever broke a bone, and was NOT fun. I'd like to share what happened to my friend. See, we like professional wrestling, ya know, the "fake" stuff. Well, him and another friend were messing around and he decided to try to get away from him, so he jumped back to get away and landed on his glass table. His knee has some nasty scars.

Ive done some prety stupid things...
the highlights would be...
I was about 6 years old, in my backyard my brother was hammering something on the stump of a tree (i forget what)
So i get this crazy thought in my head that my finger needed to be thing being hammered....and so i walked over there and put my index finger on top of the item being hammered...a few hours later i was happy on morphine and a doc fixed up my broken bones.

years later i had another one of my stupid accidents....i was in a fight with my brother and he shoved me towards the wall. So im falling down onto an air conditioning vent on the side of the wall near the floor (little metal thing about 2 feet long and half a foot tall sticking out 1 inch from the wall)
So anyhow..instead of just falling on my face i put my hands out in front of me and the corner of the vent went through my hand; went to the hospital for some more happy morphine....and ended up with a scar that you can still see clearly today.

Nothing too serious for me I guess, I've never had to spend a night in hospital, and I've refused to go to Casualty on a number of occassions when I probably should have.

I've been concussed 3 or 4 times, I lost count, and have a bit of a dent in my head from one of them (it aches during thunderstorms, change of air pressure I suppose!) but didn't go to hospital. I used to ride horses which accounts for most of them, but one time was due to a wooden chair hitting me in the back of the head during a fight which I wasn't involved in. Knocked me clean out. Of course I (being a complete tough-nut) completely refused to get medical attention.

Also cracked a bone in my wrist last year - I did get that x-rayed, and was in a splint for a while. Concussed myself another time too, and have a scar on my arm, from falling down some concrete steps when I was drunk as a skunk. And a previous time I cracked a bone in my wrist from falling over the doorstep onto a concrete patio at a party when I was drunk.

My worst is a broken scaphoid bone after a nasty sporting accident. I've got a steel bit in my wrist now to hold it all together!

I haven't had anything too serious, but I think the numerousness of my injuries certainly ranks...and I'm 14.

*takes deep breath*

-I broke my collarbone when I was about four by jumping off a bed. I didn't tell my mom that my neck hurt for three days after...
-I fractured three fingers by falling on them and bending them back while playing basketball when I was 12
-I broke my left wrist last year when I fell after going off a ramp while rollerblading
-I fractured another finger last year playing basketball
-I crashed into a chain link fence while sledding when I was about six...no concussion, but I want to the hospital
-I had a rather large classmate fall on my head (don't laugh ) while playing football, my head hurt like hell for a couple days, it could have been a minor concussion, I didn't go to the hospital
-I pulled a muscle in my shoulder from pitching, was sidelined for a couple weeks and couldn't raise my arm much
-I pulled a muscle in my neck, no idea how, but I couldn't turn my head for a week
-I've busted up my knees too many times to count...suffice to say, I have to wear athletic knee braces on both knees for every sport, and they occasionally hurt from just walking or climbing too much
-I've skidded in the rain and landed flat on my back-tailbone killed for a while

But no stitches-EVER!

And next year I'm taking up soccer or field hockey AND fencing...
