End of IWD Question

After defeating Brother P. in the last battle, IWD brings me to the screen menu that offers the choices of creating a game, single player, load game, etc. Also, IWD gives me no final game as saved.

Is this the proper ending? Do I have a glitch? If so can someone pleas help?

There is a movie that should play after the final battle, but a number of people have reported that it does not always do so. Otherwise what you've described sounds like normal behavior. Rather than saving your game after the defeat of the final enemy, IWD automatically exports your characters just prior to the final battle.

If you choose to continue in the expansion Heart of Winter(HOW), IWD will "remember" your party and pull the characters appropriately. I think they are distinguished in the save folder in some way (a "+" in front of the name maybe?). Try starting a new game and importing instead of creating new characters. When the character file opens you should notice a difference between the other characters in the file and the ones you finished the game with. You can pick them if you want to run them through the game again.
