Target, WinMe as a stand alone OS is designed for a custom build. If you have a store bought machine, even worse if it has that "compaq" logo on it, WinMe will be your worst nightmare. All of mine are customs, and they will run any OS flawlessly. To include an edition from the "Penguin". But that should not be discussed here.
