Take it from a guy that knows about injured knees Xen. Lay out your leg on your bed, or a stand, whichever works and be sure to pack it down with ice to numb some of the pain. Be sure not to move around a lot when you do this, or at all on your leg.

I don't listen to doctors to be honest, when I dislocated my knee, they said some physical therapy would do the trick, but to this day from 5 months ago, I'm still having to do it because my joints in my knee keep moving around.

Remember, just don't move around on it and pack it down with ice to releave any swelling you may have or just to numb the pain. If it isn't feeling better by Monday, be sure to go back out to the doctor's office and get another treatment. When the pain does subside, do as Kakero said and stay off of it for at least 1-2 weeks so you don't hurt your knee again.

Bloody sports. I remember when *I* was young, I was 'inducted' into the rugby team. First try-out mock game, I end up with the ball and run for my life, only to go down badly when three (THREE!) other players tackle me. I'm led off the field, games master looks at my foot, tells me it's been sprained.

This is in the morning, so's I limp back to school and carry on throughout the day with my leg, which gets progressively worse. Eventually, I collapse outside the gates after school and am taken to hospital, where it emerges my ankle had been fractured.

Believe me, Xen, if it had been your games teacher who'd diagnosed your injury, I'd be yelling at you to go to see a doctor. But you've already done that, so you're going to be fine...
