More specifically, a red dragon, so be careful about the fire breath. It can hurt a lot in some cases. Oh, and you not only get Holy Avenger, you also get Red Dragon Scales, whihc you can make into armor that has a -1 AC and 50% fire resistance bonus. VERY useful items.

And unfortunately killing the red dragon is a piece of cake (with cloudkill) even the halfling fighters were more challenging. Is there any more dragons in game? (except Firkaag and Shadow Dragoncuk)

There are four dragons that I know of in the game. Firkraag, the shadow dragon, a black dragon near the end of the game, and a (good-aligned) silver dragon somewhere in the Underdark. All of these dragons are relatively easy if you use any of the methods that can be found all over these sites, my favorite is like three shots of Cloudkill or the like all at the same time. But be careful, sometimes the dragons are able to heal themselves with magic... Also, I think you lose two reputation points for killing the silver dragon, but at that point in the game, what's the big deal if you're at 18 rather than 20.

This is what happens when you read ahead sometimes, you end up finding out a little more than you needed to. Just follow the quest and see where it goes.

There are actually five dragons in SoA (excluding faerie dragons and the like). Whether of not you end up fighting them all is up to you.

It DID say "spoiler" there...
But misleading titles are not something I approve of. Just let everyone know what the topic is about right away. It'll get read anyway.

Try to kill Lord Firekraag in the Copper Coronet (you'll have to give him ONE critical hit that will take him 140 HP ) He'll vanish if you hit him twice, I thought, through a dimension door. BTW I didn't know that the dragon in the nine hells was a GREEN dragon (thought it was a black dragon?!?!?!)
