Looks like a nice system - I don't see anything there hardware-wise that might be the cause.

Software - just some thoughts:

Windows 2000 sometimes has problems...

Verify you're not running out of room on your boot partition (swap file overrun) and you have at least 12MB free on the partition where you installed W&W

Ensure you're running DirectX 7.0a or 8 and have not encountered any conflicts with DirectX in the past

Close out any other running processes that might be hogging (or locking) memory (screensavers, anti-virus, etc.)

Anyone else have suggestions?

I have installed this game about 10 times. Every time I try to play it, I never get past the intro screen, and I get an error message. The line at bottom say's DEEP6: MALLOC ERROR (size=2112915488 Bytes) any idea what the problem might be or how I can fix it? I am thinking I may have either gotten a bad disk, or my puter can't for some reason handle this program. I believe it would have to be the first, as I meet all the min requirements. I have a Compaq 5868 with 3dfx voodoo 3 vid card.

Sounds like a memory allocation error. Ensure that you have at least 64MB of memory and that ALL of it tests good.

Can you tell us more about the system - its hardware and software (O/S) etc.?
