Just returned from the annual state prosecutor's conference at Myrtle Beach, SC. Had a good time, as usual.

The official purpose of it is to further our legal educations by attending various classes, but we all know the real point is to see who can maintain the longest continuous drunk.

I did meet my goal this year of not throwing up, so that was cool.

The weather was fantastic. Spent a great deal of time on the beach and hanging out on the Apache Pier, which claims to be the longest pier on the East Coast, at 1,286 feet, and hobknobbing with the old retired sea dogs there, who apparently spend their retirement lives pursuing their passion for salt water fishing. Interesting subculture of humanity, indeed -- met some real characters.

I see I have about 5 pages to catch up on here -- hmmm . . . Anything earthshaking happen while I was gone? Any feuds or tantrums or other soap opera like occurrences?

Hi Diogenes,

Not sure if you are aware of the KFA Clan that was set up sometime ago. The Holy Temple of Aerie had a disagreement with them, so you might want to check out the threads on this (there's 1 in SoA Forum too).

The Illuminati are not bothered by the petty quarrels of lesser clans.

*thinks deeply on the pleasurable feeling of being above them*

Cheers! Diogenes! (how do you pronounce that anyway?)

Hi Diogenes!
I posted a lengthy reply on your 'Mystical Sites of Britain' thread - I'd hate you to miss it! If you saw it already, ignore this message (but I still say Hi of course!!)

Welcome back, Diogenes (see, I typed it all out again )!!!

Glad you had a good time on your trip Oh Most Gloriously Illuminated One!

Yes, there have been scuffles and quarrels. Also, the Forum was taken hostage (that's an amusing thread), then the Seige Continued (because the hostage thread got too long). You DEFINITELY want to check that out because it has nekked dancing in it!

Also, a couple of other organizations cropped up O.L.D. C.O.O.T.S. and the O.R.T.

Enjoy catching up!!!! And I look forward to further enlightening conversation now that you have returned.... (and, as you can tell, I now have a penchant for plum .)

Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone

G'kar:

*Pronounces "Diogenes"* There, did you hear that?

4 syllables: "Di" as in "die", "o" as in "Roger", "gen" as in "jenn", and "es" as in "bees". So, phonetically, Die-o-jenn-ees, with accent on the second syllable. Hmmmm . . . perhaps one of the English majors here could do a better job of spelling it out phonetically, but that is my attempt
