So...can i offer you a drink?

I was just wondering; is there a drink in the game that your character allways drinks in a tavern? Like a favorite drink? (for example Elminster's beer, mead, etc.) Mine is Bitter Black Ale.

And what's the use for drinking (in the game) anyway? It only costs money, you'll get intoxicated after you've drunk allot, and the rumors the barkeep tells, you can also get them by talking to peasants and commoners.

My main character nearly always has a Bitter Black Ale at the end of a harrowing day of adventure. Sure they are a bit expensive being imported and such.

..oh, and I always get Aerie really drunk at least one time each game.

She has yet to win the drinking contest with Korgon though

I'd probably go with the Dragon Ale for the most part, don't ask why, I don't know [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I thought the downside of getting intoxicated was that it had negative effects on your Thaco?

But it has positive effects on your parties morale and ability to resist fear. You should always get pissed before taking on a dragon

I tried playing a dwarf fighter that got completely drunk everytime A) We came within site of a tavern. B) Were about to go do a quest. C) Finished a quest. D) He woke up. E) Before he went to sleep.

Needless to say it was... interesting. After a while in a dungeon I was itching to find an exit so the poor dwarf could get drunk. Someone should create an item that you can buy at taverns, "Keg of Bitter Black Ale" or "Bottle of Dragon Ale" that you can drink out of on the go [img]smile.gif[/img]

If I had one of those it would have saved me alot of time that I spent on trips back and forth from taverns

There is that pitcher of De'Tranion's Baalor Ale. Downside is there's only two of those in the game (not sure if that merchant in Imnesvale has more than one in his stock). You could CLUA some of those into the game at times, and donate a suitable amount of money to a temple for each one you drink. That way it'll be just like you bought a couple to take with you into a dungeon.

Sounds like your dwarf has a bit of a problem shadowhound, perhaps he should check into AA
