I get exasperated rearranging inventory when all slots are filled. I'm wondering if there is a mod for this :
All slots at the bottom are filled , but a quick slot is open, i.e., weapon.
A weapon cannot be passed from one character to another, even if they have an open quick slot for it.
Same thing with ammo or wearable items. Is there a mod just for this?

I know what you mean. Having similar problems in BG1

I doubt such a mod exists. And it would be difficult to make since this is probably hardcoded. Besides it could create some other problems like for exaple when passing cursed items.
Maybe a solution is that when you pass item from one person to another if he is full the item is dropped on the ground at his feet? Still like I said such a mod doesnt exist.

As an alternative I think there is a mod for an early bag of holding? I cant say for sure because I havent tried any of it myself.

There is a mod that will allow unlimited stacking for ammo and potions. That will help a little bit.

The ultimate solution comes when you reach HOW and you can buy some of the various sorts of gem, potion, and scroll cases/bags. (And eventually get the Bag of Holding.)

Perhaps it's annoying having to deal with a somewhat limited inventory capacity, but do you really think that your backpack's carrying capacity is unlimited? Do you have a mile long string of pack animals or trucks following you around?

Note: if you have Heart of Winter, you can buy potion boxes, gem bags, and scroll cases from every merchant. It helps immeasurably, although the capacity for each is 20 items.

I tend to leave cheap loot behind because of the inventory issues.
