That picture is there as sort of a "ranking system" along with the stars. Notic my picture? "The Magister" This picture is worse than yours by far! There's no way I'd pick it myself. Hey Memnoch, can't we have Custom Avatar pic.s and just keep the stars for the Ranking System? You prob. don't want to hear this, but Teambg allows us to select our avatars from a list OR use one of our own.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not complaining about mine, mind u, but it would be kewl if we could pick our own pic, and have stars to rank us, and still leave the postings amount on. anyone else have a thought?

Actually I like the idea of the pictures, but the higher level ones really suck. I mean, that drizzt one is terrible and the red dragon and elminster? awful, perhaps a choice of picks as you go up the ranks, i.e. pick a magistrar one you like, next level, pick a dragon one you like etc.

Hey no offence but 95% of the portraits on Ironworks are terrible!
I really mean NO offence..but can't something be done here. This isn't the 1980s, I think most of us will appreciate some more modern airbrushed ones like Black Isle's superb stuff. |

No offence either but they are grim as grim. The Magester avatar is a scan from the box of the Amiga game Eye of the Beholder II which is around 10 years old in itself. Even the system seems to work funny. If you have 2000 posts you get nothing at all (they're the lucky ones) yet those above or below do. Personally I can't help but feel a lot of the ones on this site are very poor quality and extremely amateurish, particularly when compared to sites such as Mithril Hall (where you can choose your own). As i say, no offence to Z or Mem but they're pony Avatars.
