Personally, I think that if spam were TRULY discouraged here, we wouldn't have a star rating system. I mean, come on, guys! We're a bunch of RPG-ers here. It positively smacks of "leveling up." You can't dangle a carrot like that in front of gamers and then expect them not to go for it! So all this whining about "do not spam, do not spam" simply does NOT impress me.

We (RPGers) do think differently, don't we? When I get a raise at work, or promoted, I think "Level-up!" I keep expecting to gain exp points when I successfully complete a difficult task. I use a "Fountain Pen of Strength +4". People never understand why I'm giggling all the time...

Good morning, RudeDawg!

I don't "use" the system for myself at work, but I find myself doing it for my students! I often run them through "games" to get them ready for their certifications (Win2K, Novell CNA, etc.) They seem to love it, and it works!
