I'm curious to know what kind of parties other people have put together...Post your parties (could be best, could be worst) and any comments you have on them.

Well, have had a few so here we go:

Party 1:

Gwenaelle: Elf(F) Started as a Wizard and cycled through all the roles. She finished the game as a Zenmaster with about 900hp and all stats at 24... Quite a killer.

Party 2:

Ryanamur: Human(M) Fighter->Barbarian->Bard->Ninja->Assassin
Mikox: Whiskha(F) Priest->Paladin->Ranger->Monk->Valkyrie
Gwenaelle: Elf(F) Wizard->Warlock->Samourai->Monk->Zenmaster

Party 3: (my current party) All characters started the game as lvl 1 elite role player without leaving lvl 1 in their previous role. I just started yesterday.

Ryanamur: Human(M) Warlock (was Priest)
Mikox: Whiskhas (F) Paladin (was Priest)
Al'Than: Ratling (M) Barbarian (was fighter)
Thorix: Dwarf (M) Paladin (was fighter)
Gwenaelle: Elf(F) Ranger (was wizard)
Mamount: Omphaz (M) Warlock (was wizard)

I think this last party will be quite fun to play. It's my fourth play through so I figured I could "cheat" a little.

Kai- (f) Gnome-warrior-ninja-Assassin
Crystalis- (f)-Pixie-Priest-Monk-Warlock
Leil- (m)-Elf-wizard-Warlock

We are all ready to go to Dragonspire at this point in the game...

There are a couple of threads on this topic - none to very recent but a search will find them.

Note -> Only your Ranger will be able to learn vine spells normally! The Human & the Whiskhas would need 14 vinecraft for a 7th lvl vine spell, 'cause a Warlock & a Paladin don't support vine magic.
Ryanamur knows that, I'm sure, but for the other ones it's very interesting. Look for BEST TIPS -> Quick-Guide for Role Ascensions (Sazerak).

Worst party - I've made a BIG MISTAKE: From the begin on I've ascended my two Priests to Paladins. Shall I restart the game???

If I recall correctly, a warlock is master of all magics and should therefore still be able to learn magic from a previous role. Meaning in this case the warlock (previously preist) should still be able to learn vinecraft.

......shake it baby.

I'm currently running two different parties. The 1st was split into two save games- one as a test, the other as my 1st real official play through with some exp gained from running the test. The 2nd is just a different party to play.
Party#1
1)F,Wiskah-Warrior->Barbarian->Ranger->(eventually)Valkyrie
2)M,Ratling-Rogue->Ninja->(wanted assasin, but messed up the scanthril quest)
3)M,Human-Priest->Paladin
4)M,Pixie-Wizard->Bard->?Monk?Warlock?Zenmaster?Not sure(advice welcome)
5)F,Elf-Wizard->Warlock->?Monk?Zenmaster?Not sure(advice welcome)
6)M,Lizzord-Warrior->Barbarian->Samurai

Party#2 ascensions to be determined(suggestions welcome)
1)M,Gourk-Warrior->Barbarian-?Paladin?
2)M,Gnome-Rogue-?Ninja-?Assasin
3)M,Oomphaz-Priest-?Monk-?Paladin-?Zenmaster
4)M,Elf-Wizard-?
5)M,Human-Wizard-?
6)F,Dwarf->Barbarian-?Paladin---Valkyrie

My 3rd Party will probably be smaller, but as well rounded as possible, like those above.

I'll probably try a 4th with only one or two char's.

I've had 2 parties, both of which I've found quite effective. My second however, is only at the Serpent Temple, so they aren't very advanced yet, but I have high hopes for them.

Here's my first party:
Human (F) Warrior/Paladin/Valkyrie
Dwarf (M) Warrior/Barbarian
Whiskah (M) Warrior/Samurai/Zenmaster
Human (M) Priest/Monk/Ninja/Zenmaster(Yes I know, 2 Zenmasters, I cheated, it was fun though )
Human (F) Rogue/Ninja/Assassin
Elf (M) Wizard/Warlock/Ranger/Paladin

Here's my current one, only my Warrior is on his third role, and all but one of my wizard's is on it's second, but I'll post what I want them to be in the future:
Human (M) Warrior/Barbarian/Paladin/Samurai/Assassin(Maybe)
Omphaaz (M) Priest/Monk/Paladin(If I find some good Omphaaz Armor)/Zenmaster
Whiskah (M) Priest/Monk/Ranger
Ratling (M) Rogue/Ninja/Assassin
Elf (F) Wizard/Samurai/Ninja or Monk/Valkyrie
Pixie (F) Wizard/Warlock/Bard

I'm not sure yet if I want to cheat and have TWO Assassins but if I do the Human won't change until the end or very close to it.

Current party with intended paths, and comments on some generally untested theories that I hope to prove useful?

1. ( R'rrova ) Fighter to ranger to barbarian
2. ( Rei ) Fighter to paladin to valkyrie
3. ( H'ssa ) Fighter to samurai
4. ( Roland ) Rogue to ninja to assassin
5. ( Pangur ) Priest to monk
6. ( Cymry ) Wizard to bard to warlock to zenmaster

Comments:
1. Intend to pickup the ranger skills, then switch to barbarian and wear plate again.
2. Female paladins continue spirit spells when switching to valkyrie.
5. Wish I had started with an elven priest. Elves get the learning bonus, and priests need more exp points for levels.
6. Didn't think bard was really necessary, but hated the thought of missing out on something.

Fallagar, I made the same mistake you did. I could only train to skill level 12 so the maximum vinecraft spells I could get for my ex-priest is 6th level. I re-started my party because of this. ( Is there some 'trick' needed to train to skill level 14? )

Pangur.
