All of you laptop owners out there give me a hand. All of my recent laptops aren't holding up so well. I just ruined my 3rd laptop in 3 years. It was a WinBook. In the past I have ruined HP's and Compaqs too. I beat the hell out of it for work and so basically I'm looking for a tank. I need something that will hold up pretty good, because our finance director is starting to give me some dirty looks. One of my engineers just got a Dell and it looks pretty good. Any thoughts?

Not sure about this one, Milamber as I use a desktop but my parents have had a HP Pavillion for two years and love it. They travel with it quite frequently.

I had a Gateway (before the wife took it ) and it held up quite well...have been using it for over 4 years with 2 of that our only computer (so lot's of gaming). Now the wife has a new Gateway for work and thinks it is a lot better than the old one (not just in upgrades, but in size, weight, etc.)

It has been a while since I have checked up on them, but GSCS, formerly GRiD, has some of the most durable laptops on the planet. Browsing their site, I don't get the feeling they are as up-to-date in terms of processing power as those you are already looking into, but they are definitely the way to go for laptops that last.

I am amazed that no one has said anything about the Sony laptops, cuz from my experience they're very versatile and last pretty long.
I bit on the high end list but well worth it. ------------------ That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. |
