My son was born in Balboa Umm it wasnt quite such ahole back then, it was acutally pretty decent...except for the parking &^%^%$^% got a nice fine form the city of San Diego for parking over night in a day only parking spot while my wife was in 24 hours of labor.......happy birthday to Sean from the *&%&*%^ City of San Diego!
I had the joy of being in a ward with 40 sailors/marines. The poor guy next to me didnt remember his own parents(he was hit in the head by a forklift in PI)when they came to see him. Not much fun seeing that. And the food SUCKED!!!!! Even in the cafeteria!!!! However I should say the best chow I ever got was also at a Navy base in RI. Go figure lol
Got to agree with ya there...the food at Balboa sucked...and they must have brough in 40 students during the night to "Inspect" my wifes cervix....but other than that we had a private room and I had a nice comfy recliner to sleep on...My wife hated me for falling asleep at 3am

I was on my way home from work, my left hand carrying my laptop and my right, my bag. Wearing treacherously slippery shoes... yup, you guessed it. Down I slipped, landing on a sitting position. It was so painful that had not passer-by dragged me up, I would not have had the ability to get up. It turned out to be a fracture on my lower spine and I could not sit or lie on my back for about 6 weeks.

ohhhhh... ouch! This reminds me of another injury, not as messy as my other two but it was painful.
During my teenage years I was an avid skateboarder (not very good at it, just thought I was ) anyway some mates werer sliding this rail that went down some steps, it wasn't very long and I thought to myself that yep, I can do that. How wrong was I? I landed square on my tailbone, it didn't break but my bum was in the most pain ever!
I was just glad it was my bottom and not my frontom

I got a minor concussion by falling off a slide when I was 6, and I got 5 stiches from what I call now 'The Plate Incident'. Too emberrasing to tell. But my Uncle has probably got you all beat. He broke his spine a couple years ago (he's not paralyzed thank goodness). He still is having problems, and his doctor is a dumbass.

well, it's not a bad injury but it definitly was embarrasing, i once ended up with a fishinghook in my little toe of my left foot. you should have seen the look on the docter's face. You can't pull it out but have to push it through, and he was giggling his ass of all the way. Man, was i glad when i could leave the hospital.

johnny - Why would the doctor be so mean as to laugh at you?? That wasn't very sympathetic of him

In my case, I spent the next 10 months or so sitting on a ring "doughnut" so that my spine would not have to be pressed directly onto the seat. It sure was embarassing, cos everyone assumed that I either had piles or had pain from giving birth!!

what are the chances of getting a fishinghook in your toe ? I can understand why he was laughing, i don't mind. And it did't really hurt either, i just don't want it ever to happen again, it was really stupid.
