Anything's possible. It's possible (though the odds are 11.4 million to 1) to roll straight 18's when building your character. It's also possible to play a game where you always roll a 20, on every single die roll, in every single fight. It's not gonna happen, though. Going through a whole game without dying is actually more likely in BG2 than BG1, because you start out at level 7-8 there. It's tough being a level 1 character and facing assassins like Tarnesh, because you have no hitpoints, so if ANYTHING happens, you're dead.

I can tell you it is close to possible to do BG without having to reload. I soloed through with a mage, and I think I only reloaded a total of three times. I was kinda impressed at that, actually
On the other topic, it's actually harder in BG2, you may start at lvl8, but the enemies are relative, as well. I think the first time I died was just around the corner from where I started ------------------ The meek shall inherit the Earth. But the strong shall reclaim it as their own. |

I probably reload about a thousand times during a game, because I like to experiment with new tactics and stratagies.
