Lockup

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has this problem...and if so can it be fixed?

When I quit the game, if I use the "QUIT" button on the main menu, I lock tight. I can't bring up a task list or ALT-TAB out, I have to reset the machine. However, if when I reach the main menu, I ALT-TAB to windows then "END TASK" the program, it will close clean.

I'm on a PII 350, 96MB Ram, a VooDoo 3AGP, and a SBLIVE! under WIN98. That's all the important stuff anyway. Does anyone out there with a similar configuration have this problem? Or with a different configuration for that matter? It's not really a problem...it's just kind of annoying.

My machine is a Pentium III 450, and I have 120MB RAM
The problem could be connected with Windows, because I used to have my BG I crash on me all the time, and my friend who works at Microsoft came over and did something to it...and now it don't crash anymore...

The same thing happens to me. Problem is caused by Voodoo card. If you are running high res. and try and quit, computer locks at (or near?) desktop. When I quit, I have to Alt-Tab to desktop and either right click on BG2 tab and "close" or ctl-alt-del and end task.

So anyway... it's not a bug. Just an unsupported (and they warned us) aspect of the game. Perhaps we should suggest a fix for the next patch (will there ever be a patch?)

Yea, a fix would be nice. It's not a HUGE deal as I said...just kinda annoying. Every once in a while I'll forget about it, quit the game and have to reset. Oh well, life goes on. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. Thanks.
