Why does the fact that Denmark is a monarchy matter?
I just threw that in to see who was paying attention and who was not .

I had actually included a bunch of information (positive and negative) about Denmark and how it compares to the USA and then erased it all....except I missed a line. So sorry!

Im so conflicted about insurance companies. I loathe them with a passion, see them as a necessary evil and a lot of the reason they are necessary is because of Judges, Juries and Lawyers who handle law suits like the lady who burned her self while driving with her Hot McDonalds coffee.....very annoying.

Everyone misunderstands the McDonald's hot coffee case, and the reward was later reduced by the judge - but that was back-page news instead of front page news so no one noticed. Maybe I'll post explaining the complete sensibility of the McDonald's decision someday.

Ok, then if not the McDonalds case then how about the case of the bank robber who shot himselfin the foot when the safety on his gun malfunctioned resulting in his capture? There are tons and tons of stupid piddly wasteful cases clogging our courts, surely you don't think that we have not become way to law suit happy in this country?

By jiminy it is not impossible - finally a topic upon which our ocular levels are of matching vertical persuasion - fancy that.

I completely agree with the language in which this was written.

Sorry to disapoint you Timber, I've gone round and round with my father-in-law (a Judge) and my brother-in-law (one of the most successful attorneys in the State of Alabama the "land of law suits") and neither of them could justify why there should be any payment made to a person that spilled coffee on their lap, when they placed the coffee there themselves! There is no justification other then: Oh, the poor lady got hurt because of her own actions, and it would be nice if somebody paid her for her pain, I know let's make Mcdonalds do it they have lots of money and can afford it. We've become a nation of crybabies and piss-ant whinners.
