If a kobold walked into town with a bow, chances are I would attack it.
I don't always stop and think.
And I doubt that this topic will stop for a while yet.
And don't blame me, it was Baggin's fault!
Thankyou, Mr. B the kobold man... hobbit... thing.
KILL ALLL KOBOLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do not hand over the Kobolds, Mr. Baggins, we will kill Gandalf and burn The Hill

Yep, they inadvertantly started the longest running thread in the forum. The debate has been heated at times, but has been entertaining to say the least. Sadly, the President of BYOB (Be Your Own Benefactor) has seemingly disappeared. Along with his two greatest adversaries, Lord Brass and Grungi. I fear a duel gone bad.

NEWS CLIPPING FROM "THE BAULDUR'S GATE SENTINAL"

BAGGINS RETURNS IN TRIMPH ONLY TO FIND DEVASTATION

BAULDUR'S GATE- After months of captivity and starvation, the world renowned fighter/thief, head of B.Y.O.B., and all around good guy Mr. Baggins finnally showed his person in Bauldur's Gate again after escapeing the deepest prisons of the K.A.K. "It was awful down there with no light, little food and GOD you wouldn't believe the SMELL", said Mr. Baggins when questioned about the conditions under which he was improsoned. Mr. Baggins claimed that his escape was made possible due to the unexpected help of a VERY high ranking member of the K.A.K who opened the door to the solid steel box in which he was being held. When asked for that K.A.K. officers name Mr. Baggins refused to divulge his name for fear of repercussions against his liberator. His only comment when pressed for information was to ask us to include in our story the quote, "THANKS MATE".
However all was not well for Mr. Baggins when he returned to freedom for while he was unlawfully and maliciously imprisoned, the most visible object of his personal dream and quest was completely and utterly destroyed. The Kobold village where kobolods and humans were living together and learning together in order to bring social justice and equality to our world was no more. A local survivor (it should be noted that the survivor was human) stated, "The village is gone...you would be hard pressed to find two stones still mortared together." The remains of kobolds littered the ground and in the smoking town square, where apparently the final stand took place, you would have been able to cross the village green without ever touching the ground so thick were the bodies of the village fallen. This battlefield where humans and Kobolds died together defending their homes is one of the most greusome sights that this reporter has ever seen.
After viewing the site Mr. Baggins was racked with sorrow and grief speaking through choking tears of all of the friends that he had lost in this village. That sadness turned to rage as the fire of revenge began to burn within him as he began to notice that carved in each of the fallens foreheads were messages such as,"K.A.K.", "DIE KOBOLD LOVER", and in the head of what was a beautiful young human girl was carved, "GRUNGI WAS HERE". It was at this point that Mr. Baggins took the knife from a fallen kobold and sliced the palm of his hand so deeply that blood flowed freely. Clutching the bloody hand into a tight and upraised fist Mr. Baggins swore in a loud and vicious cry, "AS THE GODS AS MY WITNESS THESE GOOD CITIZENS SHALL BE AVENGED". This reporter is shocked to report that the sky that was previously dark and overcast was split apart with a mighty crash of thunder and the sun shone through upon Mr. Baggins as brightly as if it were a bright spring day. When asked if his vow of vengance would apply to all of the members of the K.A.K. Mr. Baggins replied, "No sir they will not, for not even wanton acts of violence such as this deserve blanket punishments...I believe that I was set free to attempt to prevent this massacre but I did not reach this village in time but rest assured when I find those responsible they will feel my bow and my blade."
After searching the village a few hidden hospitals were found were the severely wounded were being treated. Of the handful of individuals that were survivors of the attack all were wounded and not a single kobold escaped the blade. Mr. Baggins helped all that he could before he went to the center of the village green to pray. Again as he knelt in prayer the clouds parted and the sun shone on him until he rose to his feet. He then bid a farewell to his remaining people, ran to the edge of town, knelt in the road reading the signs left by the assailant passing. Rising to his feet he let out the primal scream of a tortured beast and leapt away hot on the trail of those upon whom he had sworn his vengance. This reporter does not know whether or not Mr. Baggins will be successful in his quest but one thing is for sure and that is the amount of rekief that this reporter feels that Mr. Baggins is not coming after him.

Mr. Baggins, surrender the Kobolds, and this dragon shall torch you not as painfully as those kobolds. Also, if you fail to obey, we shall be forced to terroise the Hill and kill Gandalf.
You have been warned, Mr. baggins.
You have been warned.

DEATH TO THE KOBOLDS

Ah, but are not these sad times indeed when we have to learn of the whereabouts of one of our once so esteemed members of the council through a source so impersonal and irregular as the gossip columns of our local newsletter.
What can one say other than "Glad he didn't drag me down with the lot of them"?

It would appear the noble quest for integration of the kobold is at an end, for now. And the wait is for another brave adventurer to pick up the torch Mr. Baggins dropped when first disappearing. But although this wait may be longer than the time all those in the senate shall have to live, surely one day our grandchildren shall receive within these halls a man and his soapbox once again, to speak with such dedication of the integration of the kobold, and to finally see such a thing coming to pass.
Until such time, we shall have no way of ensuring integration will come to pass in such a manner that both sides will benefit, rather than harm one another as they would now.
My fellow members of the senate, we must go our own ways for now. Ye who opposed Mr. Underhill's KI plans, go with the knowledge that you have been succesful thusfar in your struggle, and plan for other attempts in the future. Those who supported the BYOB, you may leave in sadness, but never stop looking, that you may one day find again, when you least expect it,
A halfling and his soapbox.

Until we meet again.

Your chairman,
Legolas

I say it looks like the K.A.K. was framed. Even though I am not a member of this esteemed orginization, there is a fact in that "newspaper" article that did not make sense. As we all know Grungi cannot spell that well. I therefore call for all charges be dropped and for baggins arrest, that we may force the true story from him with the help of a cleric or a mage.
